Some sad news

I very much doubt that my turbo will be at FCS this year!

I have been putting in silly shifts at work to get the car readya nd only this friday talked to a painter at my work to book it in for some body work, (front arches redone and the sideskirts done again) when my alternator decided to die and take the batt with it.

Bugger i thought, after having to leave it at a mates in town i eventually managed to get it towed back to my work where it sat for a week.

During that week some one decided that they liked my exhaust and tried to steal it, they had burst 2 of teh rubber mounts.

I ordered new mounts and got them on friday. I also got my new battery and a alternator from a friend.

Fitted battery on sat and was going to do the rest on monday.

Get a call from work today and some one has jumped the fence again but now
smashed my window, broken the door, stolen my amp, kicked off my wing mirrors and just fusked the car!

Havnt been soo gutted in a while. There is no point in going through the insurnace but i think it may be getting broken for bits.

Please no Pm's about bits for sale.

Im off to cry into my pillow.

shame to hear that! i know friends who have had sorted motors either nicked or worse trashed in a mindless way... my mates mini has been done ever three times now and they never just bust a window! they always bend the door frame, screwdriver the lock, dent the rear quarter and break a window! WHY! problem solved when him and mates waited in the back of a tranny van... never had a problem since...
hope you decide to resurect it... looks a nice motor

Dave, its really bad seeing that car like that, and somone has taken a crow bar/screwdriver to the door to open it i bet. Thats a real shame. If you dont mind me asking, where exactly do you mean by it may have to go? Sold? Scrapped?

Possibly stripped and sold on for parts, poss fix and sell. At the moment i just dont want it, iwas kind of thinking of a change but this has forced my hand!

I know but money isnt what i have a lot of at the moment,

it will be a hard call, but ill make my mind up this week!

I need to take into consideration the cost of repair, the money i have spent already, and the fact that it is getting old now!

If i change ill stay French! So thats a good thing

I'm gutted for you Dave, i've watched the build up & progress pics of the car since you started the turbo conversion, I know you've put a lot of time & effort into it.
Utter sh*tbags whoever did that They've made a real mess of it :dapprove: They are pathetic. I'd see what the police say with regards to finger prints etc, lets hope they find them.

Mate if you want to cry on my shoulder ill cry with you. Not even my car and i feel upset.....its a beautiful and unique car mate. might be worth biting the bullet and getting it repaired. but even then itll only happen again. If you can afford a cheap diesel then........go baby go.
