someone decided to crash into me

well as it says i was sitting at a roundabout with 3 lanes 1st lane left only which he was in 2nd land straight on i was in and 3rd straight on and right. so lights go green i pull away quite the thing when i looked out my side window to see this red focus estate which had scraped the side of my car. so i slow down to get his details when all of a sudden he swings in to the right lane overtakes me and swings into my lane. he misjudged the distance and hit my offside front wing which got caught in his back wheel as i braked the edge of the front bumper got attached and got ripped clean off and i ran over it so it was lying in the middle of the road. at this point the guy that hit had disappeared and was know were to be seen. so i go to the police station to my amazement he was sitting at the entrance so goes in to speak to the police and they didnt want to know anything and said exchange details which we did.
i have pics but not sure how to put them on this.

Not a good day totally gutted and it is alot of damage

yea got all his details at the cop station he had know excuse he was prob bricking it cause i said im goin to fcuking kill you

police said it wasnt a hit and run because he turned up at the police station

it was an older bloke when we got outside the police station he admitted it and said he didnt relise the road layout which was fair enough but why the hell swerve into my lane and taking the nose off it he had no answer

I doubt that will be the case when it comes round to letting isurers know though. I had an accident on a motorbike in September last year. I was driving down a main road at 30mph. Driver pulled out from side road and hit me. However she still refused to admit liability and the case is still pending!

Nearly the same as what happened to me. A pizza hut delvivery driver drove down the side of mine when i was sitting at traffic lights. He then drove off, took me and another bloke about a mile to catch him.

wrong, read the highway code where it says about being involved in an accident, it actually says find a safe place to stop to exchange details. the middle of a 3 lane round about isn't a safe place to stop, he proceeded to the police station to report the accident where he also met the other party involved.

shame about your car but good luck with it when it goes to insurance as they generally try to go 50/50 with accidents on roundabouts even when the driver at fault admits liability, hopefully you got a witness?

Had exactly the same happen to me, except she was in the 1st lane, me in second, both to go straight ahead/next exit on roundabout. Third lane was to continue round. Lights go green, it's heavy traffic, she buries her throttle and tries to snow plough my Clio so she can carry on around the roundabout in the 3rd lane. Complete moron.

She admitted fault.

spoke to the insurance who passed me onto the rental car place who said we will get you a like for like car. i couldnt help myself to laugh i said what kind of car she said well you have a clio so a wee corsa or similar i said will it have a 2l engine she said oh
