Someone explain to me

I added my new exhaust last night on my insurance with admiral and they said it wouldn't be covered but I still need to tell them which is fair enough, but I still have to pay £70 or so. Why is this when it's not even covered? Cheers
 
Because it increases your chance, statistically speaking of claiming.
 
When they say it's not covered, they mean in case of an acident, they won't cover the cost or the exhaust.
