someone help me. pc problem?

right... i turned it on earlier and only half the start up programs came up. no mcAfee, no modem icon, no control centre thingy for my printer/scanner

i re installed mc afee and now its there again. had to go into internet connections to get my modem to connect.

now its just blanked out my modem completely. i just spent ages uninstalling it/ re installing it and then had to plug it into a different usb port for it to come back up.

wats going on!???

This can happen, the computer seems to have a personality sometimes and can be very strange to people.

For the start up do the following to see if everything is loading:

Start -> Run -> type 'msconfig' -> the right tab (start up) should have those things ticked.
