Clio 182
I've read around loads of threads and played around with all the sensors, cleaned the throttle body and I still can't find the answer to this so I wondered if anyone had any ideas.
My car can idle fine when you start it but then give it a bit of a rev and it won't return to idle without the revs really dropping like its about to stall and then picking up again. Then it might return to a perfect idle or it might return to a really rough idle, I don't mean a normal 182 rough idle I mean really bad, all over the place. Also when you try and give it some throttle, just slightly, the revs do raise but it won't stay constant, the revs are up and down slightly almost like the car is choking. To add to things, when we gave it a bigger rev to see if it would clear we could smell uk burnt fuel.
I don't think it could be compression because it can idle and rev fine, I am guessing it has to be some kind of sensor or a faulty throttle body but I would like to avoid buying lots of new parts to find the answer.
Any ideas would be very welcome as I have a track day on Monday I would like to make
