Sony's new bdp-s550 bluray

Just got mine today and its a great buy.

Picture is super and the audio is just as good.

Viewing on a sony 40x2000 tv via HDMI at 1080p :approve:

Running via sony Amp (str-da 1200) on 5.1 surround

plus mine is muilt region out the box which is a bonus (for dvd not sure on Bluray)

Great bit of kit if anyone is look to get one!

heard the picture and sound where better on the 550 so i got that instead!

i would not use a ps3!

plus i got the 550 and hdmi for £250 (trade price as i know the guy that runs a sony shop near me!)

can you stream stuff to it via your pc? or is it vlray and dvd discs only?

no you cant stream any media! its really only a bluray player and dvd cd etc etc.

You can view photo cd's!

I'd be interested in seeing what you think about this. I was tempted by the 350 model originally. I've got a PS3 already for Blu Ray, but i'm going to move it to another room and get a dedicated player in the living room.
