Sound like a good set up?

Hi I've just joined the clio club with a cup mk2. I've been looking and don't want to mess around too much with it. This is my plan a power flow exhaust (already on there from demon tweeks) viper full induction kit (the £250 one), k-tec chip tunning. Thats as far as I've got, if any more experianced tunners out there would help to weather or not this is good and what other little bits I could do would be gratefull. Cheers Sy

Not sure about the demon tweaks exhaust... I don't know many people with that. GDI seems to be the best bet for 172/182 'zorts. Also K-Tec (my experience with them) is darn good. And you get 5% off when you mention this forum! Can't be bad eh?

swap the viper for a ITG maxogen and get a remap from Paul murray (Pmurray on forum) at RStunning.

Whats the big advantage, of the itg over the viper induction kits? as they are £80 difference is it worth it? Sy

Do the remap last to suit all your other mods otherwise you'll need to map it again if you change something.

decat is a good mod, so is BenR's manifold matching. Then remap and your sorted.
And dont bother with a maxogen unless you want it for looks, a ph1 172 airbox with an uprated filter will do just as good a job. If the cup racers use em they must be alright

They run to a budget. And they can have a straighter feed to the throttle body becuase there's no ancilliaries in the way (battery etc). And as far as I'm aware they have to use standard parts for the Clio Cup.

Does anyone have any proof that the ph1 airbox is as good? or is it yet more jibberish from the cliosport tap room specialists?

imo filters and airboxes dont do d!ck all to cars.... so pointless speding £400 on a maxogen when a standard box will do the same job.
Gains are so small its not even worth worrying about.
Get a decat and manifold match instead and you'll have good gains and some change left over
