sound set up

At the moment i have upgraded door speakers, just some cheap pioneers and a fli active sub.
I intend to buy some new door speakers and want to get rid of the sub. Would a set of good door speakers amped up give good bass like the sub??

not sure if this is allowed, someone please tell me off if it isnt. i have a query to add on to this thread. i have a aftermarked stereo system i have fitted 2 50 watt, 2 100 watt speakers and one 300 watt woofer. at the moment the woofer is linked to the rear speakers. i need an in car amplifyer to bring the volume and quality up as i am looking at 4 times 40 watt output on the stereo. this also means that the woofer isnt working as a woofer. my question is what amplifyer do i need to make the woofer actually work as one. to put it bluntly i am skint so i dont mind second hand. anyone got one or can suggest from where to get one. would be muchly appriciated! (sorry for spelling and weird composition, far too tired!! ) cheers

nope, would not be anywhere near as loud or as good quality as with a sub

get a good set of components, in the front (amped of course) there great! and a sub (again amped) in the boot, spend the money its worth it

That's pretty much what I've got in mine and I'm really impressed with it. It was majorly improved after amping up the front speakers. I've got an Alpine 4 channel amp running my sub and front coaxils.

Sound deaden the doors(inside the panel and on the outside of it) and the boot area, makes a world of difference.
