sound system help!!

hav always wanted a decent sound system...but money has always been a prob! a mate has offered me 2 1000w alpine subs wit boxes for 70quid...is this good? then i hav a spare sony head-uint lying around tht i could use...but i would stil need 2 buy n amp and new speakers...was wonderin wat type of amp i need n will ebay b cheapest?? and i dnt wanna get shitty 6x9s..just wanna get new door speakers for rear and front...wat ones do i need 2 get here n how much roughly??

A least you know not to get 6x9's

Best bet is to set a spending limit and get the best you can with the limit you set I would say.

Yup, as above - set yourself a budget and work from there.

If it's a realy decent system you want, flog the Sony!
