Hello, Its came to my attention that I havent actually got a Hifi in my room, just a PC with i tunes and my TV.

I am looking for a speaker system than I can link up to BOTH my PC for when I'm playing music (loud, similar to a regular Hi-Fi), but I can also link up to my TV and have a surround system for the TV/Xbox 360.

On a budget of £150-£200?

Possible? thanks

If you want 5.1 then you need a Optical cable from the 360

Have a look at Logitech Z-5550

^ yeah make sure you get something with optical input. Ive got a Creative 5.1 surround sound, which is actually quite an old model but it sounds alright on xbox, and good just on a 3.5mm jack from my laptop to it aswell.

only annoying thing with the xbox on optical for some reason it plays cd's and music @ 2.1

CD is a Stereo Sound track thats way. It doesnt have a Dolby Surround sound. Although the Z-5550 will do Stereo X 2 and whack it out the rears as well, that was over Coax not tried with optical.

thanks guys!

Is the LOGITECH 5.1 Loudspeakers Z-5500 5.1 really much better than the Z5400? I'm talking worth the £80 difference? It seems louder and wit ha 10" instead of a 6.5", is that the only difference?

How much is an optical lead? will i need to hook my TV up as well seperately?

thanks
