Ok sent a few emails out.
I'm favouring Lakeside karting at the moment.

Well once i know where it is ill let everyone know, like most others that say maybe.
Threads only hours old and he wanted to know numbers.

The 4 options range from 40-100 mile round trip for me. Calm the f**k down pal.
I've seen enough CS meet threads to know how this will end.

4 blokes stood outside of Daytona, asked to front the cost of the 25 bookings.

What comes first, the venue or the names?
I'd say, really, venue.

A good idea would be to have a few early spring, all over, top 3 of each one then go into a national CS karting race!

Right need to get peoples thoughts on this.
As some people want to go Rayleigh to the indoor.
Some don't like indoor and would like to do outdoor racing.

So I will go with the general consensus of what people want to do and how much they are willing to spend.
There is some choices I have shortlisted.

Rye House Karting Hoddesdon Hertfordshire- Outside Track, Twin Engined Pro Kart.
  • 15 min Qualification,
  • followed by a 40 min race,
  • Price is £85 but can be split into pairs @ £47 each.
  • Or they do a Le Mans Event,
  • Practice then a race for 2hrs for teams.
  • @ £190 per team. Team size 2-5 drivers.
  • A team of 4 would cost £47 each.
  • No Mininum amount of Drivers

Rayleigh Karting Essex- Inside Track, Single Engine Kart
  • Practice warm up laps
  • 8 heats (all drivers) (5 laps)
  • Final top 8 drivers (10 laps)
  • Trophies top drivers
  • Price is £57pp
  • Mininum 10 Drivers
Buckmore Park - Outdoor Track, Twin Engined Pro Kart
  • 45min Enduro race
  • 10 min practice
  • 15 people minimun
  • £88pp
  • Or a 30min Race
  • 10 min Practice
  • 12 people minimum
  • £68pp
Personally I like Rye House Karting.
I'm not a huge fan of indoor circuits but that's my opinion.

For me Buckmore is closer, second choice would be Rye House.

If it's buckmore I'm almost definitely game.

I get the whole outside karting is better I truly do but just not in October.

If it's cold & pissing down it will be a s**t day and a waste of money in my opinion.

So it's Rayleigh for me this time but more than up for an outdoor meet next summer.

  Listerine & Poledo
As per Ron ^

Also, summer karting shoudl be the epic, all-CS invite event. for a 48hr endurance or similar.

As a new guy here I thought I should make the effort to meet people, so I'm in.
I would prefer Rayleigh, its a good track and the carts are pretty good too + theres no chance of getting wet, I was there a month ago for a company doo and it was a good laugh. Be warned, bring a spare change of clothes or wear shorts on the day, the suits get very hot and sweaty!
