South East - Where to get cambelt done cheap

Based in Crowborough, East Sussex. I need to know the best place to get a cambelt kit fitted onto a 172 cup, cheaper the better obviously but i dont want any old garage doing it if there not confident.

What garage name and prices can you provide???

Suggestions on a postcard please

Dont obsess too much about cheap. Its a job that needs to be done right. Go to JMS..

just phoned ren7oaks and they want £651, thats for all genuine renault parts, cambelt kit and aux belt and kit. they also offered 10% discount as a new customer. That price included VAT

I thought that cups only needed the belt replacing and didnt need the kit that went with it? Can someone confirm.

I'd also thoroughly recommend Ren7oaks having used them in the past, but not at that price. Call them back and say it's a cup without aircon. You shouldn't be paying anywhere near that.

650 for a cup? Jesus.

what i thought mate! JMS can do it for £330 (ok, its not genuine renault parts but for half the price im not really fussed!)

RS Mk2 Clio (172 Cup) (Without Aircon) Cambelt & Aux Belt Change - £330.00 Inc VAT
Full Cambelt Kit - Gates.
Aux Belt.

They must have it wrong, ill phone back and see what they can do

Ren7oaks wanted that money for my FF, i went to Rentech in Portsmouth as they were doing an offer at £415. Worth the extra travel.

You can't go wrong with sideways danny. £220 again you're always having a sale Danny, just like DFS.

If Dan can do it for £220 then I wouldn't even bother calling anywhere else. That's bloody good value.

I've had both my cup and trophy cambelts done at GDA http://www.gdasportscars.co.uk/ they're more of a jap specialist but have a few regular customers with clios and seem to know the clios pretty well.

I'm sure i paid about £450 for my cup, all genuine parts and also had the dephaser done as well.

£450 for both belts and a dephaser cog, I hope. Which would be about the right price for a non a/c car..
