South West Karting Meet Pics

Very entertaining in Cheddar this evening, some very close and enjoyable racing.

Here are a few pics, impossible to get good karting shots as it was far too dark on the track, but I got a few betwen races...

Cheers to Neil for organising this, great fun.

Didn't get lost driving home either which was a bonus, left Jooliona (sorry, didn't catch your name!) at Nunny and didn't see a single car the whole way back after that (about 10 miles), got to love night driving!

was a great evening!!! Had a good drive home, Niel Freestone you're a lunatic!! The Subaru was four wheel drifting going up through the gorge, although that was probably more to do with the lack of driving ability from myself...
Thanks for organising it mate, was a reeet laff!!!

Ahhh glad it wasn't just me then, my Cup was having one hell of a time in the wet on those roads, good fun though.

Aha didn't see this thread!!

Well done Neil, we had a great time... and I'm so glad I didn't come last!! Got a few bruises this morning from the accident(s) I had though :)

I got just the one pic from my phone that the legendary Mick took... lighting is awful but I'll put it up anyway....

Anyone else got a sore back today? I also burned the inside of my leg on something, didn't notice until I had a shower this morning and it burned like crazy.

As for that straight, I think we were hitting about 40mph along there, feels pretty rapid two inches off the ground.

What a great afternoon, massive thanks to Neil for organising it :)

Really good racing, me and Sam had a couple of great tussle's (dirty cheating git ;) i was wholly innocent of nudging!!) and Sarah was nigh on impossible to overtake!!

Had a couple of good blasts on the way to the track too, managed 140 (speedo) on the way and 150 coming home ;) Roads were far from ideal for me tho.

no thong bunzee...i debated taping it to helmet.......

tom i was winning uptill the 4 but last corner from the end and then tapped a tyre which spun me slightly..sam went through...up til then i had won most races.......my helmet was getting a tight fit.....

glad everyone enjoyed it

Awesome fun neil, big thanks for organising it, and great to meet all you guys!

The drop down to cheddar was awesome too, have to do another run through there soon :)

Lol, and agree on the sarah overtaking thing paul, she got me flagged, biatch! ;) hehe

Neil was overconfident, thought he had it in the bag with his fast laps and winning from the back of the pack. The "seasoned pro" was destroyed in the final by the young newcomer ;)

Bit addictive though I have to say, we're trying to organise a family grand prix now, got 7 people so far so I need to dig out a few long lost cousins or get some of the ladies to drive!
