I know you can get a space saver, not sure where from though! Keep lookin fella.

You could maybe get a laguna 16" steel for it ? I don't know if it'll fit though.

Tbh though having no spare doesn't bother me that much (not hat I could have a spare even if I wanted to)

f**king bothered me when I ran over a dirty great nail/railway spike on the way home from the gym at 10:30 and it was pissing with rain, had to wait an hour for my brother to arrive in his GF's 1.2 so I could pinch the spare steely out of the boot to limp home on. Tyre foam, I s**t it!

you dont yu just get a 15inch steely from a 1.2 or sumit n just keep it in ya garage n if it pops just get ya mother 2 bring it for ya lol

In fairness I've driven all over the country in all the years I've been driving and never once needed to use a spare up until then. I guess I should count myself lucky that A it happened close to home and B my brothers missus had a car with an appropriate spare to pinch. Would have been properly fucked otherwise tbh, there was no way foam would have patched the hole left after I yanked debris that big out of the tyre.

has anyone ever had to try the tyre foam? does it actually work or am i carrying excess with for no reason?

Was a rear that popped on mine (most common as the front wheel flicks the nail up and then the rear gets speared before it drops back down again) so I can't comment for sure. Can't see an issue with a 15 going on the front though as ph-uglys run 15's all round ;)

I wouldn't bother.

I've had 17 cars and done 100,000's of miles and never got a proper flat. Couple of slow punctures but that is all (and finding a big flap of rubber hanging off an old saab 9-3 tyre after v-maxing it for about 15 minutes :S)

I've had the 182 for a year now and as long as you keep an eye on the tyres and the pressures you shouldn't have any problems bud.

However, I do carry a tin of foam for holidays etc.

You've been lucky!! Ive had loads of punctures, even had two blow outs. Worth having a spare IMO :star:

You should be able to find something that fits from another vehicle. 4x100 is the PCD- perhaps something from a older Honda Civic would fit?

Did you ever get the Mazda 323 (late 80's to early 90's models?) Some of them came with space saver spares, but 14" rim size IIRC. It should fit on the back though- as mentioned above.

Just make sure you secure it somehow, otherwise it might become an issue if you ever have a major accident. I was going to buy/ carry one, but given I often carry a baby in the rear seat didn't want the risk of getting rear ended and the spare punching through the back seat.....;)
