Spacers due to rubbing tyres

After buying some spacers for my car 1.2 Campus.
The car is on 205/45/R16

Currently the back tyres are enjoying their time bonding with my suspension, that close I cant even get my fingers in the gap between them.
So after getting these spacers

2 x 25mm at £38

Any issues with these? Or better prices else where? Seen few on ebay but after reading on here I understand that some materials are to put it simple crap, some also cause wheel wobble.
Basically I'm just looking for tried and tested spacers and advice.

It may be scraping on your outer edge after you put spacers on.
Then you will start shredding tyres!

True.. unless you get stretched tyres.

I got spacers from a local shop in my area, they not the cheapy ones, but no brand name either.. they are brilliant, no wheel wobble.

Btw - if u buy 10mm spacers or above you will need the extra long bolts.

wheel wobble occurs if the spacers are not hubcentric.

hubcentric means the spacers have a lip, just like the hub, which the inside of the wheel sits on, thus protecting against movement.

205 are very wide for a 1.2, especially if it is lowered. i run fk suspension with 15mm spacers and my tyres will rub on the outside lip of the arch if i have loads of stuff in the back, i therefore remove them for trips like this.

mine dont rub at all i hav 205s on and mine been lowerd 40mm and i can hav 5 people in. i have nothing on the back and 25mm on the front

yeah its the back lad, and if you are on coilies it will rub on the shocks if lowered loads, hence i had to get spacers fitted before my coilies.

why I'm looking at this thread I've got a question:

The hubcentric are obviously the best spacers but am I right in thinking that the 5mm spacers only come as non hubcentric?

think its 10mm and above, although i am struggling to find 10mm HC atm

When fitting 5mm spacers is it good practice to fit extended wheels bolts or are they ok?

i think the rule is up to 6/7mm you are ok, but 10mm and over has to be extended bolts, 20mm and over is bolted to the hub, then use original bolts to bolt the wheel to the spacer.
