Spacers...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-C...r+Make:Renault|Model:Clio&hash=item416c85d000

What could go wrong with these?

They would just be going on my 1.2 to stop the rubbing that I am currently having problems with, so wouldn't need to be very well made as it's not like I'm going to be taking it to a track...

Is there are other spacers around that price that you would recommend?

also if they need extended wheel bolts can you link me to some that would fit the spacers too?

thanks!

They come with bolts.
They will be fine for what you want. The bolts are a bit sort though so don't over tighten them and they aren't ideal for track. But fine I a road going 1.2.

i got some ripspeed 5mm spacers to sort out my rubbing on the back for the moment. cheap peices of crap but they are doing the job untill i get some decent ones

Heres a pic of the rubbing... dont know if 5mm will be enough :/

@ chip I'm running 6mm on the back , but I have studded them , rears are not hubs centric , haven't caused a problem for me on track yet. @ last outing at Bedford my front wheel nuts worked loose , but that's expected after a hammering right.
I'll be keeping an eye on this at my next outing which is very soon.

That looks way more than 6mm, and those look like rally designs 99p studs, Ive had problems with them working loose, I swapped to hockley ones to cure it on my corsa.

Normally the front passenger side that loosens.

I put locktight on mine. Didn't budge on the last track day

Loctite will make very little difference TBH, they stretch with the load and heat, which loosens them and once they are loose loctite or not the passenger front wheelnuts are going to be coming undone.

I only ever had the problem on very hot days running good quality track rubber, on the road or damp days or on normal tyres on track it was fine.

Personally for the sake of a few quid extra I'd sooner use better studs, but its upto you of course mate.

It was a damp day on the last track day i did, I suppose pure motorsports kit is the best for the job

Pure ones seem to be quite good, personally the hockley are my favourite, but they do discolour quickly which the pure ones dont, so from a looks point of view pure win but I just prefer the really positive location of the wheel on the hockley ones (makes spigot rings redundant too which can be handy if swapping between oem and aftermarket wheels as the spigots so often jam on the hub!)

Yes mate those Hockley ones are epic.
Lead onto the thread so it's hard to cross thread when putting on in a hurry, the shoulder is an almost interference fit in the wheel bolt holes, taper on the shoulder to centre the wheel as it goes on and then the back of the shoulder presses into the disk to keep tension on when its done up. So much more gone into them than the rally designs rubbish.
