Sparco seatframe.......

Mounted my raceseat today.....

Do not use a clio specific sparco frame.....it makes the seat as high as the standard seat!

Anybody know of a good alternative?

Isn't the OMP subframe the lowest sitting one? Apart from a custom build obviously. That's what I've got in mine and I'm well happy with it to be honest.

Yep, other than custom, OMP seems to be lower. I have OMP in mine, I'm 6ft 4 and I have no problems with the seating position

Where are the harnesses mounted, look a bit suspect to me from the photo.

Will look for OMP then.
Harnesses are mounted to the top seatbelt mount ar the rear and to schroth thingies at the sides.(one on the front seatbelt mount, one on the bolt that mounts the seat to the floor)

Thank for that mate, had a quick look...dont see the problem...(just me being thick i guess)

anybody else know/think what I did wrong?

the shoulder belts run slightly up, but within Schroth tolerances (20deg)
the lap belts are mounted to the oem belt mounting point with Scroth clip on eyes
the crotch belt is mounted to the floor with the plates that come with the package.

confirmed..with the sparco the seat is higher than original..:S...why would anybody want that?

I've put a Sparco subframe on the seat in my 172

I hadn't really sat in it enough to notice how high it was until we got the car moving again, feels way too high

My 182 has Cobra extra low subframes and the seating position feels great, i might have to look into changing to OMP ones if they're alot lower.

I noticed as is a bend I like to take fast i couldn't look ahead because of the mirror........:dead:
