spark plugs

had to get my spark plugs replaced recently, the guy at thew Arnold Clark renault garage said thet if i use anything other than renault plugs it'll blow ecu, is this true?

no it wont blow the ECU but you must use the right ones, renault ones are NGK you can get them from a motor factors for about £10 where as renault charge £24 for 4, the 1.2 16v goes through plugs like anything due to the engine running really lean
