It looks a lot like my mates 1.4 Furio:

Wahay!! Glad to hear it
Saxo's ftw ....
+1 on the saxo's ftw. Mate was depressed when his 172 was only a bit faster than my vtr.
Was your mate in the car at the time? Don't want to start abig debate about it, have had a 172 and a vtr with few mods ie exhaust, manifold,Decat and chip. No contest against a STD 172 in my experience buddy...
90bhp vs 172 bhp, very close match

Mate you wouldn't believe the amount of tools on sax-p. No joke some guy the other day was complaining because he put his £600 vtr through a farmers hedge and the farmer wanted £60 for the hedge, he couldnt afford to pay for it because he has no job and a baby on the way.
Truth be told, I'd rather have a clean VTS than a 106 GTi.
Standard though. Or maybe just breathing mods and coilovers.
+1 Because a clean Saxo VTS is about £1500, sometimes even more, cheaper than a clean 106 GTI.
Although I'm sure there are exceptions :approve:
^^^^All it needs to do now is pass the 'Prolonged Abuse' test....
The exception.
Full build cost = less than a nice, standard 106 gti of the same age/miles.
I have a spec list longer than my arm, of pretty much all the best bits ...
Its been said before on here, and it's fair to say, that Saxos are underrated massively on this forum
The pictures of the horribly molested ones (posted on this thread by Clio owners) above show that some owners have absolutely no taste whatsoever! They really look gash. But i'm sure I could find plenty of pictures of Clios with similar gash bodykits which have been molested in a similar way by 14 year olds with their future car parked in their drive.
this on coilovers would look good, it would be the only mod id have if i owned one.A better phot of sams:
My old one:
