speed at different revs

whats your clios speed at 4500, 5500, and 6250 in 5th gear? mk1 and mk2?



and how accurate are the clios speedometers?...

Phase 1 172 with 195/45/16 3mm tread 85 on gps reads 87.5 on speedo just fitted 205/45/16 pe2s Ill repost when i get on the motorway

P.S. live near heathrow only really use M4,M40,M25 so no chance of 6250 in 5th

4,500 rpm in 5th = 100mph.

5,500 and 6,250 = Dont want to try that on a public road with cops and cameras about

you sure im sure it was 80 ish in my mk 2 phase 2 granted ratios were changed but not that much

yeah, mk1 does a 100 mph (aka 160 kmh) at 4500, its fifth gear is somewhat longer then mk2s, but also slower...



btw, thanks for your answers, what iam trying to do is find put the accuracy of the speedometer and the rev counter, would be easy with GPS or G-tech, but unfortunately, i havent got any of these...



when calculating speed via revs and gear ratios there is very little between results and that displayed on the speedometer...for instance the speedometer shows 220 kph (137 mph) at 6250 revs, wich matches with the gear ratio calculation almost perfectly...but can those results be relied on?

Brand new 205/45/16 PE2s 85 on gps is 86 on speedo
