speed bump BANG issue

when i go over speed bumps, on the way down i hear a massive thud

i have recently renewed the springs and shocks on both sides (the noise has since gotten less a bit since doing this) heres the interesting part:

i jacked my mk2 04 clio up today at the back.
on the passenger side when i pull the wheel up, it goes up quite easily a few inches... on the drivers side it does not budge at all.
if i try and move the wheel about (left and right etc) there is no play, its just when i pull the wheel up. the noise is coming from that side when going over bumps as well.

any ideas peoples?

ARB bushes are non existant i would say.

arb bushes? i assume you mean anti roll bar bushes? easy fix or quite a f****** would you say?

If you've got a four poster ramp to get it in the air that's a very good start!
