Speed Camera Detector

Thinking of getting one. Possibly a snooper or road angel plus. Leaning towards the snooper because the road angel apparently needs a external antenae.
Anyone got one? Do they work OK with the stupid reno windscreen?!

i use tomtom 6 with speed cam updates

wrks very very well and can be updated via the web

I use a Tomtom V2, with the camera updates, and had no problems with the windscreen etc.

Thats what I thought, its not going to tell me about speed cameras!

i think he is saying dont speed and you'll not need one.

either that or he is saying chrimbo is just a orund the corner wait and see what santa will bring.

personalyy i have a garmin sat nav and amember ship to pocketgpsworld.com and download the speed camera POIs every week or so, the unit is an i3 piss easy to use and only set me back £70, then i got an ariel for a 5 ver and the membership od £20 a year, but were gonna hev 3 units in the house so thats under £7 .

I thought detectors are illegal?
do the road angels not just ping when your car is near the co-ordinates of ra speed camera? like a sat nav withought he navigation.

Not sure really mate, thats why I wanted to know what they are like! Im not sure that I really need a satnav tho.

What I meant to say is don't worry about wasting ur money on a speed camera detector, drop enough hints to family and friends in the run up to Christmas so that they buy u one come Jesus B-day. Its not really a Speedo it’s a data logger with built in accelerometers, it gives you a read out of how many G forces your doing whilst driving round about’s etc. I know it’s beside the point but it’s 100 times more of a cooler toy as you can download ur trip to work onto your laptop everyday not to mention accurately record 0-60 times.
