speed/distance?

hello!

I´m having a weird problem and was wondering what can I do to fix it:
My speedometer stops working when i drive over 40mph!?
what should/can I do?

stop driving above 40mph

got a 1.2? if so then i doubt it's actually going faster than 40.

well said.
But I´m still having the same problem, and yes it actually goes a bit faster than the 40mph, can´t say for sure ´cause the speedometer doesn´t work properly but I´m guessing 46mph...

what ive heard is

the speedo gets its reading from the abs sensor??? or a sensor round about there,

i have 2 cracked abs rings but my SERV light only comes on when i go above 40mph, speedo still works though sorry for lack of help lol
