Speed on speedo or road pilot, witch is most accurate??

M

M7CUO_V6

I have just installed my 'Road Pilot' in in my car. The speed on the speedo is abot 4-5% higher than that on the RP. I thought these gps speed camera detectors where ment to be spot on?

If they are, then the dc5's speedo is out a fair bit (more than in my last to clios).

Any one else notice this in their cars??

GPS is much more accurate. I've yet to see a car which doesn't read higher on the speedo

Drive a C4. Its spot on. Not sure if the digital dials make any difference but at 75mph on sat nav my speedo was flicking between 74 and 75.

On the flt the GP is spot on.
Up a hill though the GPS is likly to be out by a tiny amount not as much as speedos are though usually though.

As others have said the gps is more accurate. My Clio speedo reads 70mph while the gps reads 67-68mph.
