Speedo Needle HEEEELP

Hi, when driving my speedo needle will just go from saying 80mph to 0,.....now and again it will come back to normal with a jolt of power up the backside but then will go again? what is causing the needle to do this and how can i fix it? thank you kindly =)

Speedo Sensor has gone....Only £20-£30 ish I think, they plug into the gearbox. Not a big issue or fault to fix
