speedo needle on 16v

are there any valvers out there, where the speedo needle doesnt wobble all over the place at anything under approx 30mph?

normally i would have thought speedo cable has had it, but iv been told all valvers have the same problem! (and have yet to see one without the problem



any ideas?

na mine done this for the two yrs i had mine and a mate of mine with a valvers does that so it seems to be normal

My 1.2 did it, my Valver did it and now my Williams does it. Sometimes its worse than others, but its nothing to worry about if my experience (and tens of thousands of miles) is anything to go by.

Mine dosent its steady as a rock no matter what speed im doing. My old 1.2 bebop however was all over the place...

My Williams didnt use to do it at all.. now it wobbles a bit.. sometimes, it wobbles at 60-70mph..

Most times its solid tho.. heh.

my wobble is pretty bad also, 35mph then Solid as however under that i kinda have to guess

ive been told it can be fixed with a new speedo cable?

isnt it just whip in the speedo cable? mine certainly does it up to ~35mph. seem to remember my dads old R19 16V having the same problem which Renault amended by fixing some sort of grommet in the cable. it worked but then it doesnt really matter that much does it?

get a snooper and use the speed reading on that.

i dont find it a problem, its just one of those little things, that if easy to fix, will go on the list of things to do!

i may try changing the cable at some point, see if that works
