Speedo Not Working!

ive got a 1.2 ph2 clio with the 2.0 182 engine conversion and the speedo doesnt work any ideas why?

check other things work mate? ur petrol gauage showing anything and rev conunter??? probley be a fuse i blew one and i lost loads of stuff from just the one fuse such as all my dash + brake lights...

nah yeah, the rev counter, fuel gauge and that are all working its just the speedo

is your ABS working. Slam the breaks on in a safe place. You are likely to find it doesent work as it should as the speedo takes the reading from a rear ABS sensor.

mind not drive it about with the speedo not working. Its illegal and can invalidate yor insurance as you dont have indication of your speed

my first clio did this for some reason, i smaked the top of the dash and it worked ever since :S, if in doubt give it a clout lol, ent got a lcue what went wrong with it, i was doing 30 then said i was doing 0 lol

ye got the same tonning it across A14 in rain noticed speedo not working next day ok happend twice in last 2 mnths. has anyone had problem in winter when starting up all lights go on dash after 10-20 seconds also steering grip has split and is falling apart must be the way i hang on for sheer death when driving lol

check the abs is giving out the signal for speed then check the dash wiring is ok.

who did the conversion could alswer a lot.

make sure the speedo sensor on the g/box is pushed in properly,unplug it give the plug a squirt of wd40 and reconnect.
