Speedo problems!!

Hey, I have what could be a pretty big problem. Recently bought a speedo from ebay as my rev counter wasn't working.

New one seems all good but the millage is a lot lower, guessing whatever was on the car it was taken off.

If I reset the ecu will this sort it? as I have an mot soon and if they see the lower millage then surely there will be issues?

i believe you need clip to program on the new mileage (dont think you should reset ecu!!!!). providing you tell the mot place before hand, its not a failure as the odometer on cars is merely there for convenience i do believe.

you might have to tell them how many miles you have done since the last test tho....

Cheers, good to know any ideas on why the petrol miles left, mpg ect flashes and doesn't show up how many I have left
