Speedo Sensor - Gearbox ?

Hi

My new (to me) 172 has a duff speedo (although the rev counter is fine).

It's a 2002 '02 FF

Looking on here and related boards indicates the the speedo sensor in the gearbox requires replacing. There is some confusion (speaking to my main dealer and a Renault parts specialist) as to which whether my car has a sensor in the gearbox or whether it reads off the ABS system.

Anyway, looking under the bonnet behind the engine I think my car has the speedo gearbox sensor.

Would anyone be so kind to determine this ? Photo's below:

my speedo has stoped working. would geting one of these gearbox sensor fix it.....

Most likely its the most common part of the speed-o system to fail
