Speedo sensor ???? Help please

My car speedo drops sometimes to 0 then unto the speed I was at
Or flickers which causes the car to have a slight power surge and loose power slightly
Could this be a speedo sensor?

I had similar - didnt affect performance though. Just fitted new sensor (2 min job) and all good now. £8.40 off ebay.

Where is the sensor? / how do you replace it?

I have the same issue

Take engine cover off - its down the back by the exhaust manifold. There is wiring plug that needs removing then the sensor just pulls out, plug new one in, reconnect plug - jobs a good un!

I didnt - to be really safe I suppose you could but I really dont think you would need to.
