Hi

I was hoping i could get some help,

The speedo on my gf ph1 1ltr clio doesn't work all the time. She said sometimes the needle just drops while she is driving.

Recon it could be an earth?

unfortunately not an earth...

its the speedo sensor thats gone.

Is it hard or expensive to get it fitted?

From a garage I would say £20 - £40 fitted? If you supplied the part. The actual sensor itself is found at the back of the gearbox with a (pink?) wire connected to it. If your a hobby mechanic you should be able to slide underneath the car and replace it yourself. If not I would get a price first from a garage, I would guess around that price though mate.

Id say its easier then changing a bulb!!
so just do it yourself as it takes less then a minute to change

just pull UP the old speedo,pull the wire off it and push down the new speedo and connect the wire

simples
