Speedometer and fuel lights won't come on.

Hi I'm new to having a Renault clio mk2 2004 reg, my first car.. Can anyone help me.. So my speedometer lights and fuel gauge don't come on when I have my lights on driving at night.. I'm not much of a car person sadly so any help would be appreciated so much!
