Split CV boot DIY repair

So I've somehow managed to put the tiniest of splits into the NSF CV boot when fitting a set of billys to the Octavia. I mean its a couple of mm wide and just about pierced the boot, so I've just been out and bought a puncture repair kit from Evans cycles to bang over it.

Anyone tried this before, will it work?

Also is a patch on a CV boot an MOT fail as that's due in a few weeks as well?

Small pin hole will repair fine. Brake cleaner the grease off around the hole so its spotless - A dab of epoxy resin works great or even better is a small piece of rubber superglued or stuck on with epoxy. Done a small pinhole on my Kangoo before cs festival and not seen a drop of grease come out of it even with track use. You cant really see where the repair is unless really looking.
