hi all, im looking at gettin a sport cat for my 172

ive been quoted £180 for a powerflow sport cat

is this any good?

i paid about 300 for a custom made 100cell cat and downpipe for my old ibiza turbo, 180 sounds good if thats it fitted.

Thats not bad, the sportscat that k-tec sell (which is the Janspeed one) is just over £300.

Do you not lose a wee bit of back pressure with a full decat?

No stu it defo pulls alot harder and is still to be mapped. I agree fred... but some need it for MOT purposes

Kept the sports cat (Sorry Cro-Clio ) and now its on i love it. Alot more user friendly then my decat but this is due to the nature of my ktec zorst.

I just want that part, nothing else, decat would be too inconvenient for me come MOT day too. Any suggestions would much appreciated...

Im also interested if theres a change in tone, as my standard cat is knackered, cba with the hassle of a decat so looking at the k-tec sports cat too...

there is a change in noise, not as much tone just volume. comparing mine(decat) to my mates(no decat), all the same mods, mine was a tad louder, same tone realy just louder.
