Sport/Proline who has used BOTH!

  Not a poxy Renault
I don't want to turn this into another sport for show, pro for go thread. So I'm only after replies from people who have actually had or used both, preferably on track.
I've had sportlines before on my 182 and was quite happy with the ride but I didn't feel that it was vastly different, although still an improvement. I'll be doing a few more trackdays next year (with my new R888's!) and want to improve the OE springs, so I'm after some constructive comments please.

i haven't tried prolines but have sportlines fitted to my 172 and found the difference in ride handling was massive. gone was the 'roll' when taking corners and hello to a bumpier but more flater stance on corners.

Used Proline on track on my PH-1, used sportlines on my brothers 172.

Sportline offer more drop ofcourse, but the prolines were decent on track Imo it would be very difficult to tell the differance between the sets. Our prolines were decent enough for track use, just replaced them for AST coils though :D

Ive searched through threads on this, but ultimately what i want to know is:

Is there a difference in ride comfort between the 2? As i would appreciate the extra drop the sportlines give but not if it will result in a bumpier ride. Cheers

Sorry Fred, I can't base a descision on that.I need more info from people who have used both. These are my only option for aftermarket suspension for the 182 (cup packed) without spending £1000 on coilovers. so i really need to know if the differance between the two is that noticable.

i've fitted over 60 sets of eibach springs to 172/182's both prolines and sportlines

the ride is the same, i prefer the sportlines but they're nigh on the same for "feel"

simple answer is if you want it to look lowered get the sportlines, if you want it to look standard get the pros

oh and i'm a qualified insturctor that teaches people how to drive ferraris and lambos

that do you?

i have had both.
only just fitted my sportlines tonight tho. the prolines did seem to tighten up the handeling and reduce the body roll. after an hour's drive on the sportlines tonight, i have to say they feel very simelar to the prolines. although they have not setteled in yet.
i would go for sportlines. imo, just as good on handling and they sit lower

I've had both. Felt the ride was better on the prolines, but the pro's were on a 172, the sport's on a 182.
