sport steering wheel

hi guys, i have an 04 aged sport steering wheel that has covered around 35000 miles and both rubber thumb grips are ripped. Everytime i grab them i have the urge to rip the bloody things off they irritate me that much.....the question is how much is a new set or is that nt possible to buy just the grips? what would the wheel look like without the grips alltogether?

You can't buy the grips by themselves. It's a common problem with the steering wheels 'melting'

ye the leather has seemed to deform itself bt thats no problem because i can give the wheel a clean and condition it but my god the rubber grips wind me up!
