Sportex Exhausts?

  cock mobile.
Are they any good?

I'm fed up with the standard sound and that 4k rattle; was just going to get the Magnex 3.5" Twin.

However the same looking one from sportex is £100 cheaper, but I've never heard of them, any had any good / bad experiences?

Will be to go on my 172 Cup btw.

ive got one on mine, fitted straight on, you will need an exhaust clamp for the rear box, as both of mine sheered off, but otherwise no complaints, sounds pretty good, not too loud either, its got a nice tick over sound to it, and doesnt get stupidly loud in the high end of the revs!

Hmm; that sounds, well perfect!!

I want something with a purrr but not that loud I have a headache after driving to work!

Did you have an exhaust clamp made? Or will they just fit this on at the fitting station?

Any pics mate?

Cheers.

i can go and get some pics now if you want. I fitted it myself in 2hrs, hardest part was getting the old system off! i've got a single 3" round tailpipe. and on sunday for the cs meet, i was driving almost all day and i dint regret the exhaust, as a stereo will almost drown out the sound lol! i lukily had a clamp in the workshop, so didnt need to even buy one.

That's not bad at all really.

I was thinking of the same but the twin; like the Magnex one.

Cheers for doing those pics :D

Anyone else got any comments on these exhausts?

Was that direct from Sportex? Or a supplier?

Did it come with fitting kit (except that clamp). I take it that it fits straight on, np, etc.

yea obviously use the old rubbers, and all the hangers are in the right position, which is always a bonus. It was from the supplier on ebay, but i phoned up.

fits perfectly, even the standard exhuast used to hit the rear beam, but this one is fine! a mate has had his on his xr2i for over 2 years, and 60,000 miles and still going!
