i have the k tec stealth and sports cat and its starting to piss me off with its boomyness. if i took the cat off and put the standard one back one would it be better or is it the back section that is boomy???

never had a problem with my k-tec cat. Exhaust sounds fine. Is your k-tec system fitted with a round or oval shaped centre silencer?

It is boomy at certain rpm

Is it new as I found the longer it's been in the car the less boomy it has become.

Just had the new ktec stealth system and a Yozza decat fitted and its pretty damn loud. The middle and back box dont seem to have much packing in when you tap them they sound hollow ! So as soon as i floor it, it sounds like devils rally car. I personally like it but the missus hates it !
Was thinking of putting the original cat back on which should cut out the loud raspiness hopefully or will it any other help would be appreciated.

Rob - I had the same problem. I think swapping for a normal cat would reduce resonance (Charlie at Pro-speed seemed to suggest that when I spoke with him)

My solution was to get rid of the K-tec stealth cat back instead. Replaced it with a Pro-speed stealth - much less boomy now

Just had my standard cat put back on and it sounds normal again much improved for daily driving ! Not that boomy at all

I'll let you know. Can't remember off top of my head, circa £300 fitted IIRC. More expensive than the K-tec but suits my needs much better
