i thought there was i pic on my member profile? but there aunt lol,, i wanna spray the dash,, door cards,, piller covers,, rear door cards etc all the plastic

This is gonna be sooo expensive mate.

You need a special paint wiht a plasterciser in it, this basically means it stays flexable.

Folia Tec do one, but its to the tune of about £30 a can.

Yes some people will say use ordinary paint, BUT some people have had no probs, btu other have had ti crack etc, esp if you are taking teh dash off and it flexes etc

I WILL be doing this, prolly in the summer, whole dash will be sprayed, whoever i will buy the paint in tins and use a comporessed airt spray gun...this works out alot cheaper if you are good wiht a gun and have all the kit

What about a good priming. And then Plasticote?

Its for plastic ?
No offence mate but plasticote will not last and the finsih you will get compared to proper car paint will be sh*te, iirc platikote doenst require a primer, its just like 99% of other cheap spray paints in that it wil stick to everything and dries in seconds

normal paint is fine on hard plastics, even if it flexes a little. aslong as the prep is good, paint will stick to basically anythin and wont crack/flake, unless really forced

Gonna be doing it on a mk1 Clio

Whole dash weill come out and be sprayed, pant will be got from a local auto paint suppliers, wiht a plasterciser in it.

Got the kit from various places, gonna be respraying most of the car by the time ive finished

If i was doing it...which i am i would rather pay teh little extra and buy the proper stuff, ask any bodyshop what they would use........

Think about the amount of heat etc ur dash gets, the hot air is blown up through it, when car is cold cold ice cold air and then within about 5/10 mins its hot air....the dash expands etc a fair old bit...or in summer when the hot sun is baking down on the dash

cars are baked at 60ish and the ovens go upto 100 odd i think. i doubt a car would get that hot inside.. although they do get hot i agree.

its all about good prep though
