spraying my rear drums

  Combo
ok so i want to paint my rear drums, going to do it black as i dont want to advertise the fact i have drums, but i dont know how to go about it. is this a really stupid thread, for example do you just spray the paint straight on or do you have to prep it like spraying anything else. also do you have to cover anything up etc?

sorry if this is a really dumb thread but i want to get it right, thanks in advance people!

i wouldnt spray em, id wire brush them down, or dremmel them with a brush attatchment if you have one, then use some hammerite on a brush. can build it up alot thicker than spraying with an aerosol and will last alot longer too

Rub down with a wire brush, slap two coats of black hammerite on.

I've still to do mine, bought all the stuff for it mind.
