I am able to build basic spreadsheets but im having trouble today

I want a table to add columns c5-c9 miss c10-c12 and supply answer in c13

Sounds simple but when i put formula =sum(c5:c9) in c13 it is not automatically adding them up as you go along once you have input the numbers you have to double click c13 and click on green tick to allow it to add up and if you need to change the numbers you have to go back and double click c13 and click on green arrow

Its never done this before Anyone offer any advice

Not really without seeing it mate. Possibly haven't got auto calculations on? (tools -options- calculations)

prob got auto calc off....go into...

Options
Calculation...then make sure automatic is selected

You need to go to tools> Opt........ Doh!

Or hit F9 to manually recalculate?
