spybot search and destroy

is spybot search and destroy any good? i think ive got loads of adware, obviously Norton hasnt been doing his job properly

Its always worth scannin your comp with a few diff apps, as some find things other dont!

Crap Cleaner. very good program, i run it with ad aware every week or so, clears cookies, temp files, cache etc

I keep getting a stupid flashing yellow triangle and my spyware can't seem to kill the damn thing. Keeps saying System Alert:spyware detected. My AOL spyware can't finish it off, might be something called Nuvens I think.

search for the file and find the directory. make a restore point. reboot in safe mode, delete it, reboot in normal. if all is well make a restore point again.

spybot search and destroy is not bad, but i prefer to use Webroot Spysweeper with regularly updated definition does the trick .

Norton Antivirus is too bloated with stuff these days, i uninstalled it ages ago and my pc runs so much faster.

Find a programe called "Window washer" (don't laugh!) it wipes away your history and cookies etc... and it makes it more difficult for hackers and adware and spyware etc.. getting into your PC. Highly recommend it!

try EWIDO security suite too, in conjunction with Spybot S&D and AVG

i use spybot, adaware and nod32 for an AV, aint had any probs in like ever using these. Saying that tho, i never had any problems when i had no AV or anti spy/ad ware, just need common sense and you wont really get anything.

either way, i think i will stick with what i got already, never get any probs :¬)
