Squeaky Breaks

  BMW M3

Done a search for this but no luck..... when breaking softly i get an annoying squeaking noise from the breaks. The car has recently been serviced and the pads are only 10% worn.... i do know that it can be caused by the housing for the pads but was wondering if this noise goes away with time as i am not very mechanically minded and dont really have the time to apply that grease stuff. If it doesnt, then could anyone suggest how to get rid of the squeak by DIY.

Cheers guys....

Where exactly do i put the copper grease as i take it i should stay away from the discs. Can i buy copper grease in Halfords...?

Cheers...

You got a pressure washer?

If you have pressure wash the brakes front and rear as beleive it or not it usually sorts it out.

The copper grease sits on the non-friction surfaces of the pads, to be honest it dont do much as its gone within a 1000 miles- washes off, and I have a feeling that that you noisey brakes is down to excessive build up of brake dust.

Thanks for that.... i will give that a go. Could be excessive break dust as i am not the slowest driver in the world (but what clio sport driver is??? lol) and i dont usually clean the insides of the alloys...

Cheers...
