Squeeking noise when you turn the

engine off. Anyone know what it is? Engine sounds like its squeeking when you turn it off. Its a 53 plate 172 done 24k. Any help greatly appreciated.

Have you got an after market exhaust on there mate?

The spring at the cat sometimes squeeks when it warms up when moving slowly on a lot of the 172/182 i've been in both with the standard after market systems...

Yeah I've got a stealth sytem and a Janspeed decat. Is this causing the noise, if so why?

Ali and Big Iain on here both have stealth systems from Ktec tho Ali also has a Janspeed decat and they both squeek when warmed up when pulling away slowly etc.

Doesnt seem to make any noise when pulling away or on the move just squeeks when i turn the engine off - its really odd

check the recirc pipe into the inlet isnt leaking as it does this on mine when it falls off
