squeeky gearbox

everytime i change gear my gearbox squeeks like it is rubbing against something, does any1 know why

Probably just needs the links greasing, it did it on my golf!

how do i get to the linkage, i have taken off the gaitor and all i can see is a white ball that connects to the gearstick, i culd not find out how to go any deeper

apparently it may be the bushing needs changing. any1 know if this is a garage job

if its a mk1 clio 1.4 its normally either a worn clutch(squeaking when you take up drive)or the front pipe squeaking where it joins the manifold(squeaks as the engine rocks under load)
