Stainless Steel Induction Kits

  RenaultSport 197
I see K-Tec are selling a full stainless steel induction kit made by Powertec for the Clio.

Does anybody know if stainless steel kits are any good or better then normal induction kits?

Cheers.

aparently they suffer from heat soke or summit and basically no ur better off with stock. im sure someone will come along with an indepth explanation for you!

It's strange how some places offer stainless steel for induction piping and heat shields. But I would of thought metal combined with engine heat would actually have a negative effect rather then a positive one. The only way to actually get a decent improvement would be for it to be completely cool at all times?

Stainless steel sounds better than cotton etc.

If you buy one from k-tec make sure you get a powertec one and not one of their shi**y ktr stainless steel ones. They sell them for 80 quid, yet they are actually a universal air filter sold from motorworld for 20 quid. Total rip-off. when i ordered mine i asked for a powertec one and they sold me and sent me the univerisal one. Im guessing because they make more money out of them than the powertec ones. I couldnt be arsed with the hasstel of sending it back so just made do with it

Powertec, motorworld....still the same s**t

c**p filtration compared to cotton filters and heat up a real treat.

If your interested in performance I would avoid...if your interested in noise and engine bay looks then they're probably just the ticket.

Just performance I was after, sod the noise. I'll stick with my Pipercross. Cheers for your help.
