Stalker is a game that I keep meaning to go back to. I had it on pre-order for like a hundred years. IMO the code isn't optimised for multi-core processors. Rather, it wasn't. It's a game I may return to. I have the boxed retail good to go, so I think I will install it again.

I still don't think it does multiple threads, but that shouldn't be an issue for Nehalem...

Stalker was pretty gash if you've played any FPS/RPG in the last 5 years tbh :/

It was buggy as f**k, i wouldn't bother, they've never really fixed it, patches have come out etc but its not worth the effort.

Get on bioshock, i'm trying to find my copy as i never really got into it last time round.

Still, this GameTap things looks like a reasonable idea... similar to Freeloader, back in t'day.
