Stance of the union

The ginger fella towards the end is the owner of that rat BMW you posted a few days back. Didn't realise the door handles were string/wire though, intense.

I know he is, yeah although the door handles aren't as out there as some stuff. I posted a thread a while back with a MK1 ratted to f**k that had a chickenwire roof lol

That's what we were talking about, with them being undriveable. They look nice, but you'd be bouncing around out of your seat on anything less than a flat smooth road!

is it wrong i can name nearly every model of wheel on that vid?

That happens on "smooth" roads in the UK anyway.

This is true. If you can find a stretch long enough without potholes in it.

the roads are that good round here i broke a shock and turret in a weeks driving on my daily... :/

Ouch! I got the damping all wrong at first after fitting coilovers, and went for a drive on my favourite twisty road. Head hit the roof/b pillar.

ha ha i remember when i first learnt to slide my 200, i had it on coilovers set to hard, was ok until i was exiting the drift, i would catapult inside the car and smash my head on the door!

had a massive lump on my head couldnt sleep on the one side of my head it hurt that much

Fair few pics and videos I've seen recently have made me want a 350z. If I actually had the 10K + extra it would need on mods to make it worth owning I'd be tempted.

I can't see the vid, i get this message:

"Sorry, "STANCE OF THE UNION" was deleted at 11:49:37 Sat Nov 21, 2009. We have no more information about it on our mainframe or elsewhere."

Good video. Love all that stance stuff too, looks so cool. Gone in 60 Seconds theme song in that video ain't it? Moby tune?

Yep, forgot what the tunes actually called though.

These are poor quality in comparison to that film but here's some more footage from that meet.

SO lets get this right.
Stance is just about lowering your car so much, its tucked in the arches.

This isnt something new or am i missing something
Not just about being low.

You need the right (low) offset on the wheels and maybe some camber if your poking too much.

and yeah ride height lowered to within millmetres in the arches which are rolled, flared or pulled.

Euro typically run small diameter wheels on European cars. The whole stance scene is all makes and models and not just small/wide rims. Drift cars, classics, euro, executive(VIP) cars etc are all in the scene.

Nope, any style of car can be "stanced" if you like to call it that. JDM, Euro, Rat, VIP etc.
Just look in the JDM thread on here, loads of cars with awesome stance with not a drop of "Euro" styling in sight.
