standard 182 power output

Hi am just wondering what power output you guys are getting on a dyno run with a standard 182?do they normally acheive there 182 figure?

really? didn't realise the 182's were so low iv just got a exceptionally healthy 172 lol so that's proberlys why

Just depends on the rollers as said. I know I could put mine on one set of rollers and it would pull 190+ at the fly but there's no point believing it.

Sometimes they seem spot on, others they seem way out. Roll on when he gets his new ones as he's a clever bloke.

172's are around 165 unless a freaky engine such as mine and Laine's

Knock around 7-8bhp off either and you get the idea.

they are usually down 10hp against their quoted PS figures for both the 172 and 182, however as mentioned there are a few freaky ones, my old 172 ran 173bhp on the same day all the 172s were running 165-170bhp and the 182s running 170-180bhp.

you usually find 182s vary more than 172's im not sure if its down to RS and non RS inlets

Few cars knocking round my way with his work and seem fine like, as you say Barnes has been fine and it takes some serious abuse.

I think he maybe just has his off days, doesn't help that people are constantly in there with him pestering him so things never get done.

Garys was ok flat out but at part throttle detonated its tits off, was obvious just a glance the map wasn't actually finished and yet he took Gary's money and sent him on his way to destroy thousands of pounds of engine.
If he isn't incompetent enough to not realise it was utter rubbish then he must be dishonest to say he'd mapped it properly when he hadn't.
Anyway, that's a bit off topic. Lol

if anyone wants a big power figure though from a standard 172 it's certainly the place to go for a power run!
