Standard Cat on yozza?

Just been searching through exhaust threads and am getting the idea that the yozza isnt too loud if fitted with the standard cat, would that be right.
Would the system still flow freely even with the standard cat on?

The CAT is the most restrictive part, but no it's not too loud with it still fitted.

Understand the cat is the restricitve part but dont want it to loud and dont want to have to change between cat n decat for mot.

If you keep the cat then it's only marginally louder than a standard system - I have a Yozza with the cat in place.

Fit the decat and it's LOUD (so I'm lead to believe).

I got the standard cat on my yozza and the sound is just amazing not to loud but poeple just enough to turn heads

Its very similar but the sound of the silenced de-cat is better.

I had the yozza race system on mine. Did a RR last year with the cat in place and made 166.9.

Took the cat off and went back to the same place and made 173.9. Car felt a lot stronger and even they said it felt stronger.

Noise wise it was mental with a de-cat. I set off car alarms if I went full chat through my estate

I miss that system!

Thats the prob, want the extra power but not the booming sound, lol
Would i gain anything over the standard system with standard cat and yozza or just sound.

Meh id say it would depend how your car was running..you wouldnt hardly notice it with the cat on.

The noise does increase ten fold with a de-cat on.

But you have the 182 and I dont believe the 182 version is as loud as the race system for the 172???

Do lots of motorway ,iles so want it quite for that but then want it to sound good when hoofing around town etc.
Obviously obeying all speed limits

It's hell of alot louder with the de cat on , i'm running mine with the Cat on at the minute due to MOT and to be honest i've not noticed any difference performance wise . Maybe the Decat does free up a bit more bhp but nothing you'll ever notice when your driving it . I think people get carried away with all this decat stuff and get sucked into a placebo effect thinking it makes hell of alot of difference , pulls stronger etc ...... when it actually doesn't .

Get a decat if only for the differnce in exhaust note , if you think it's gonna give you massive power gains it wont and you'll be dissapointed .

Sounds really good, think im just gonna keep the standard cat on, still loud with it on. doubt there will be any drastic changes with decat!
